The Jepson Herbarium presented a series of workshops for the educated public on The Tree of Life. Four one-day workshops in this special series covered topics related to current techniques and recent developments in our understanding of the evolutionary tree of life. Given the success of this series, we are planning a further series at the Jepson Herbarium next year.

An educational workshop, attended by more than 150 people, was held at the California Science Teachers Association meeting October 15th, 2004. 

An educational workshop on "Building the Tree of Life" was held at the National meeting of the Botanical Society of America on Sunday, August 1st, 2004.
